The story behind Riverview
Riverview Coffee is a coffeehouse and roastery at 139 E Main St in downtown Belle Plaine, MN: beans roasted on site, espresso drinks, baked goods, pop-ups and events.
The beans are roasted on site, on a roaster with the Riverview name on it, and bags of the roast sit on the merch wall.
The room is the other half of it: a pressed-tin ceiling, brass lights, long wood tables, four-tops, counter seats and a couch, with a merch wall of hats, hoodies and mugs. Customers on Google call it comfy, cozy, and a good selection of big and small tables for every crowd.
Most weeks something is going on: a BBQ pop-up with live music, a Paint & Sip, a craft maker, a drink that sends a dollar a cup to the library, or a school group roasting beans. The otter on the logo is Toffy; this fall he dressed up for the Belle Plaine Oktoberfest & Brat Trot.
